Update to Infection Prevention & Control Measures
As we welcome 2025, I would like to thank everyone for your diligence and support in keeping our residents well and avoiding any respiratory outbreaks over the busy Christmas/New Year period. We did have a couple of residents who tested positive to respiratory conditions, but these were contained and they have all recovered well.
The management team have met this afternoon and decided that from 7am tomorrow (9th January 2025), staff will no longer need to wear a mask while in resident areas.
Staff and visitors can continue to choose to wear a mask while in resident areas. Masks will continue to be available.
While we have removed the need for staff to wear a mask while in resident areas, we encourage everyone to remain vigilant, maintain good hand hygiene and only visit or come to work when well.
The active cases of respiratory infections remain high in the community and overseas. If you have just returned from overseas or spent time in crowded events, you may want to consider wearing a mask for 48 hours while in resident areas.
Please do not visit or come to work if you have any upper respiratory symptoms even if you test negative on a rapid antigen test.
Thank you once again for your support and understanding.
Kind regards,
Mimi Asche
Chief Executive Officer
