Voluntary Assisted Dying
Eva Tilley acknowledges and respects the right of residents to make informed decisions about their end-of-life care and recognises their autonomy in choosing care that aligns with their values, preferences, and wishes. Consistent with relevant legislation, residents may access Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) while residing in our Home if they choose to do so.
Our Director of Care and Clinical Care Managers are available to provide information, support, and referrals to the Victorian Voluntary Assisted Dying Care Navigator Service upon request. We are committed to ensuring that residents considering VAD are informed of all available care options, including the benefits of palliative care, and will facilitate referrals to specialist palliative care services where these are not already in place.
